PGR has the best ROE vs. revenue growth of the 20 insurance stocks I studied recently. The past few years they have expanded to a nearly 30% return on equity. If this channel holds, this is a great buy zone for the company leading into earnings. They usually beat all metrics and with a local bottom here and a decent correction I expect a nice upside, the fib extension target is 313$, this matches up with my fundamental analysis of the company target between 295-310$. This is a much safer bet than low price to book value based insurance plays. Progressive also has less risk than many competitors that are overexposed to the California fires.

The blue zone on the chart is where price made a significant move in May 2024. Recently price was near flat-lined just below that zone and I'm sure there was considerable quiet buying. Price has moved through the buy zone with record volume and strong bullish price action (This correlated to a car show appearance?). Now there has been a very structured 7 day pull-back to the bottom of the May 2024 zone and price is sitting on the 50 SMA. What I am looking for; I expect that price will begin moving higher in irregular spits and sputters (the diarrhea play). This is how those big money asses take money, well I'm on to them, I have NASDAQ:FFIE at the top of my watchlist and I'm ready. If I were to use an example for the price action I expect with NASDAQ:FFIE I would look at the 1 year daily of NYSE:DBI and see that each large move resulted in a retrace to the opposite channel line. (gap up moves back to lower channel, gap down moves to top channel.) The play; Wait for violent retests that shake out the sweaty paper hands and follow price action. Good Saturday my fellow trader, Here we have a pair that has been consolidating since June 2022, for 2.5 years. This is a long consolidation phase and a long consolidation phase tends to lead to a strong bull-market. The easy target here is 987%. Meaning, this pair can end up moving much higher once the incoming bullish cycle is over. Even easier is a 511% target. Both are huge. The market bottom happened in August 2024. This will be a huge one because it has a monitoring tag on Binance. It seems now that those pairs that are set to monitor on Binance tend to grow strongly on other exchanges. There can be some volatility of course if a delisting tag gets added but the other exchanges will remain available for trading and any volatility prior to a strong bull-market will only result in an awesome buy-opportunity.
